How we spent our Valentine’s Day! ❤️

Hi all!

First off, Happy Valentine’s Day! ❤️

This is one of the first Valentine’s Day that we have actually done something! I mean that in a way as, we never took it seriously. Yes, we would eat chocolate together and all of that good stuff, but we never took the time to actually celebrate and do something special. We thought since we’re married, we might as well celebrate and make it fun! I had to work yesterday, but when I came home I set everything up for this little surprise I was planning. It wasn’t anything really over the top, I just wanted to spend it at home with my husband, relaxing.

I had a vision in my mind, but I needed the supplies! A couple days ago when we went to Trader Joe’s, I grabbed some blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, cupcakes, and macaroons. Originally, I wanted to just melt some chocolate in a bowl and have us dip the strawberries in there. But as I was cutting up the strawberries, I changed my mind. I thought all of the fruit was sweet enough and we had the macaroons, plus the cupcakes! I had a bottle of Sparkling Moscato so I set that up with two wine glasses on this tray. This whole thing was set up on the floor in the living room. I found these LED candles that I bought a while ago and knew exactly where I wanted to place them. I started putting them on the table under the TV and lit a really good smelling candle. I also added my tulips in the middle. It looked so pretty! I had these lanterns filled with lights so I put that out too on the floor next to the table. Next, I put a red blanket on the floor with some pillows and started setting up the food.

Once that was all done, I turned all the candles on and found a Spotify playlist, it was literally called “Valentine’s Day Tunes” or something like that. But it was perfect. I told Mirhad he can’t look until I’m done. So finally, it looked perfect. I started playing the romantic music and I called him out and made him close his eyes until he was standing in front of it all. He LOVED it! He just kept saying how it looks so nice and how this is so sweet! We sat down and started eating (of course) and just enjoyed each others company.

After we were finished eating, we started watching the Ted Bundy series which was super good (he’s so messed up) and we finished within a day! I recommend if you haven’t watched it already. Now I think all we will be doing this weekend is watching crime shows 😂

So yeah, that was our Valentine’s Day! Very chill and relaxing. I have some pictures of the thing I set up, with a video! 🙂

Vacation planning for May 2019 ✈️

Hi all!!!

This is a very exciting post for me because I’m going to write out our long 9-day trip that’s happening in May, day by day! We are calling it our honeymoon part 1 because there will be a part 2 eventually. We’ve been talking about going back to Santa Barbara for a while now and originally we were only going to go for four nights because everything was so expensive, but we found a way around it! We actually ended up making it a 9 day vacation and it wasn’t as expensive as it should’ve been. So here’s how we are planning it out.

Saturday May 25th to Sunday May 26th: Our flight leaves for LA at 5am and we will be there by 10am. We chose the LAX airport because it was much cheaper flying into LA than SB. That’s when we decided to go two days earlier than we planned and just stay in LA that weekend. We planned to go to the two parks in Disneyland and Universal Studios from the start, but just by making it a day trip from SB, but this is much easier and that way we have two full days to do whatever we want in LA. We also were able to find a cheap Airbnb right by Disneyland. But we are going to Disneyland and Universal Studios!!! I am SO pumped! It’s my first time so I’m acting like a kid, but I am too excited!

Monday May 27th to Sunday June 2nd: We rented a car so we will drive that morning from LA to SB, take a nice long cruise by the coastline, and enjoy some road trip time together. Cannot wait to see the views by the ocean and the mountains, it will be beautiful! We decided to spend the next 6 days in Santa Barbara because we found a really cheap Airbnb so we were able to stay longer than we thought. This will give us time to really soak up SB and enjoy what their city has to offer. We haven’t planned out every single thing we are doing yet, but I will update when we do! On that Sunday, we will drive back to LA and spend some time there before our flight in the evening. This is going to be the longest we’ve ever stayed in California, it’s going to be great!

That’s what we have planned so far, we literally just booked all the Airbnb’s, bought the flight tickets, and rented the car just yesterday! In a month, we’re going to purchase the Disneyland and Universal Studios tickets since those can really be purchased at any time.

Side note: I surprised Mirhad with this camera he has wanted so he could start filming (his dream is to be a director one day) and I went and bought it last night for him. He totally didn’t see it coming and had the best reaction! I told him this will be great for him taking pictures and videos of me on vacation 😂 Anyways, I’m happy he can finally use his own camera instead of mine and I know he is too! Hopefully he can learn how to use the camera like an expert by May so we can get some cool footage. Maybe by then my Youtube channel will be started?! 🙂

But yeah, that’s our trip planning. Has anyone else been to Disneyland or Universal Studios? Anything we HAVE to see?? Any recommendations for food in LA and Santa Barbara? I will do some research, but I’d love to hear from personal experience. 🙂

West Coast Road Trip Pt.4: Yosemite!

After SFO, the next stop was Yosemite. We let ourselves sleep in, got up, had breakfast, and started our road trip to Yosemite. So it’s about 3 hours and 20 minutes to Yosemite and we got there pretty fast.

Last year when we went to Yosemite, we came from Lake Tahoe so it was faster overall. The side we came from last time was very pretty, but this time there weren’t a lot of good views. There were some parts that were cool, but mostly it was just trees and dead trees from the recent fire. Some parts were scary to drive through, but nothing like the first time we went!

When we finally made it to the part where it has two road options, we decided to go towards the beach side because our Airbnb was that way anyways and Mirhad just couldn’t wait to see that. We didn’t have time to go back and see the falls on the other side, but that’s for next time! It took about an hour to get to the beach area and when we got there, Mirhad fell asleep right away on the sand.

It was as beautiful as the last time we were there. We stayed at the beach for a good hour, soaking up some sun and just relaxing after our long drive. After chilling for a bit, we decided to explore the area and take some pictures since we couldn’t drive to the other side. We got some cool pictures though using the self timer on our camera so it was fun to click the button and run quickly to get in a good pose.

We got hungry after a while and went to this gas station to eat. We had a REALLY good burger, we were actually shocked as to how yummy it was. This was also the same gas station we went to last time we were in Yosemite so it was cool to reminisce on those memories. After we ate, we grabbed some snacks and we started driving towards our Airbnb. I didn’t expect the Airbnb to be SO nice. We had mountain views and everything we needed. Although, we didn’t really spend time outside when we arrived… we went straight to bed as we knew we had another day of driving ahead of us. Next up, Vegas!!!

West Coast Road Trip Pt.1: The start!

Hi there!

Finally getting started on my travel post! So I wanted to make a post for every city we visited because putting everything into one post would be wayyyy too much. This one will be all about the start.

I went to work that day (it was a Tuesday) and came home as soon as I was done with one of my last meetings before 11:30. I left as soon as I was done and started getting ready. I still needed to shower and pack a few more things like my camera battery that was charging overnight. We had to leave to get to the airport by 12:50-1 and we left around 12:15 (lol what’s new tho). So we finally got to the airport, had no trouble with TSA and that’s when our trip started. I recorded some things – I would post on here, but I don’t think I can. I will make a whole video and post the link later tho 🙂

So the next couple of things will just be some pictures I took during the time we were waiting for our flight and when we got to Dallas waiting for our flight to Seattle.

The first three photos are waiting at our airport and finally getting to our seats. Then flying and landing in Dallas. We tried some sourdough grilled cheese and we came to the conclusion that we both don’t like sourdough so we didn’t finish the sandwich lol. It was very cheesy though and looked soooo good. Then you can see that we got back onto the plane heading towards Seattle. The sky was so beautiful before it got dark, wish I could go back to this moment and watch again 🙂

So I was already saying our trip has begun when we arrived to the airport, but of course it really began when we landed in Seattle. Next post will be a BUNCH of pictures so get ready! 🙂

Quick update! 🌿

Good morning!!

Writing this quick little update! My flight is around 3 so I don’t have much time for anything, but I thought I’d sit down and write about what’s going on.

So we are leaving for our trip today, we’ll be in Seattle tonight woohoo! Last night I packed for 2 hours (late) and seriously next time I’m packing 5 days in advance because that was stressful lol. Hopefully I packed everything I needed, if not then oh well I’ll buy it over there. Last weekend was crazy busy, we did yard work everyday. I’ll post some picture when I’m back to show how I redid the front flower box in front of our house. It took a lot of work, but it looks much better now. I think I can find a before pic somewhere, too.

I probably won’t blog at all during the next 5-6 days since I don’t think I’ll even have time to sit. I feel like we probably won’t even sleep forreal because there’s so much to do in so little time! So there will deff be a couple blog posts probably about each place we visit so I’m excited for that 🙂 right now I need to go take a quick body shower and get dressed because we leave to go to the airport in like 45 to an hour so I am running low on time.

Went to work this morning and then got back around 11 to work from home. Drinking a cup of coffee right now so I can get some energy because I can never sleep the day before a trip because of excitement. Just like first day of school back then in like middle school, was so excited the night before I couldn’t even sleep! Ah, I just got nostalgic lol. Reminding me of the days where we’d be waiting at the bus stop and it’s a little dewey outside early in the morning. Aw, miss those days!

Okay well really quick update, I’ll post photos maybe on my instagram.

See ya later! 🙂

Friday, weekend plans, & coffee! 💫

Good morning!

I am working from home today, I feel like I just need to work from home once a week for a change of scenario. It keeps me motivated. Anyways, I also woke up this morning feeling sick so it is a good thing I am working from home. Hope whatever this is passes by Monday.

The other day I bought some glass coffee mugs (well 2) and they are so cute. I have been making coffee in them and it looks like a professional capuccino that was made in a coffee shop!

Planning to go shopping this weekend if I get any better. Hopefully I do because I need some new clothes in general and for the trip.

Sanela and I are getting our nails done Tuesday and we decided to go once a month and just treat ourselves because WHY NOT?! I think we deserve it 🙂 so that will be fun, I am excited! I’m thinking about doing something like these colors:

Nails #1

Nails #2

Nails # 3

Nails #4

I wonder if they would be able to do some of these designs with gel polish or if it is only with acrylics? Super cute anyways!

I am looking for a book to read, so I am browsing Amazon to see recommendations, if you are reading this and have any good book recommendations, please let me know! 🙂

I also bought a camera recently, the Canon G7X Mark II and I am loving it! I bought it to vlog and record memories of my husband and I so I don’t have to pull out my phone all of the time and I also have just wanted a camera for such a long time. So I decided to go ahead and try this one, so far it is AMAZING. The quality, size, and basically everything is so great. I did a lot of research before buying this camera so I knew I would love it! I was also thinking about possibly starting a Youtube channel, not sure what it would be about? I could do makeup, daily life activities, traveling, etc,. I guess it would primarily be about my life and I am not focused on having a bunch of followers, just want to share my videos! 🙂

That’s all for now, I may blog again today, if not tomorrow then for sure because I want to possibly do a camera review? Or maybe a travel packing list for a short weekend trip like the one we are going on!

Until next time! 🙂 ✨

Tuesday April 24, 2018 🌿

Good morning!

Happy Tuesday!! It was a busy weekend and pretty much for the next month it’ll be very busy. So I had my bridal shower and I had SO MUCH FUN!! I’m so glad I was able to spend it with my friends and family. We took a lot of photos and had so much fun with the photo booth and the props. In the end, we took a group photo of the people who didn’t leave after they ate and it’s adorable.. we all held up random funny props. My sister in law has them on her camera so I’m just waiting for her to send them to me. I do have lots of pictures my friends took though, so I am going to upload those too 🙂

After the bridal shower, Mirhad and I, my parents, my sister, Irfan, Mirhad’s parents and sister, my niece and nephew, and Sanela all went to our new house and opened up presents. It was so much more fun opening them at home with family because I didn’t have to awkwardly take pictures with the guests holding up the presents. I liked it this way so much better. Time also passed by so fast during the shower that we wouldn’t even have had time to do it. We ended up playing 3 games – musical chairs, the toilet paper wedding dress, and this game where you have 15 balloons and each balloon has a date in it and if you got the date we started dating you won a prize. It was funny to see everyone popping the balloons on the floor hahaha. So whoever won got a nice present 🙂 I had a lot of fun and we ended up having 3 cars full of presents, it was crazy! So I will be making a separate post about my shower and then when I get the professional pics I’ll make another one 🙂

Yesterday we got the kitchen for the house!!! My parents are putting it together today and a lot of it was done yesterday as well. Soon we have to go pick out a granite top and that’s pretty much it. Saturday our furniture comes and it is soooooo cute!! It’s going to look so good in the living room 😀 This is what we picked out:

IMG_0886-2IMG_0887-2IMG_0888-2

So it is that exact color and we got the glass table too! I think it’s going to look good with the carpet I got a while back. Can’t wait to see it in the living room officially. We got this set from Weekends Only! We still have to go shopping for a dining room table set and a bedroom set as well. We are going to go look at office desks so we can get the office going.

We also booked a trip to Colorado in May so I am so excited, I cannot wait to see the beautiful mountains ❤ It’ll be nice to get a fresh breathe of that mountain air after this ridiculous semester. We are going with Mirhad, my brother, Anel, and Sanela. 2 other people might join, but if they don’t we’re still going. Anel and my brother have never went so I can’t wait to show them everything. I was thinking about inviting my parents and Sanela’s parents to go if the other 2 can’t make it because it would be so much fun. I start work sometime in June I still have to figure out what date exactly. About to make those travel posts again heyyyyyy! For now, I am counting down the days!!!

My graduation party is in 2 weekends, so I’m excited to just chill with everyone again. This one won’t be as stressful, I just have to clean up the backyard hahah. It’s also going to be for my dads and sisters birthday (early) so it’ll be 3 celebrations in one. So at least I can say what’s up to everyone, eat, and then go to my living room and hangout with my friends!

But yeah, I have class in an hour and 30 mins so I’m going to go grab a snack and start making my bridal shower post!

See ya!! 🙂
