Hello March! 🌼

Good morning!!

Happy Friday guys! 

I woke up this morning feeling very refreshed and looked outside my window only to find more ice on the ground. I had great sleep and then I realized it’s March and got super excited! The weather forecast is showing that it will get much warmer after the 8th of March. So glad the winter is finally going away and I can enjoy some fresh air. Speaking of a new month, that means we have some goals to write out! 

Goals for March:

  • Learn a new sport (already have one on mind, will make a video about it)
  • Lose 10-15 pounds 
  • Start vlogging – post first video on Youtube 
  • Be consistent with my blog posts
  • Make a laundry routine so we don’t fall behind on laundry
  • Share my blog, be more open about it 
  • Workout 5x a week
  • Sleep 8 hours every night and wake up at 5 am every morning
  • Go to bed earlier
  • Clear up my acne scarring/skin 
  • Spend time outdoors as much as I can as soon as it gets warmer outside
  • Read at least 1 book
  • Get back into writing my to-do lists
  • Save money from every paycheck for our future vacations
  • Buy our Disneyland and Universal Studios tickets before the end of the month
  • Work on myself, mentally and physically
  • Only buy new clothes if I lose weight 
  • Have at least 3 date nights with my husband 
  • Spend less time on my phone and more time with my husband 

That sounds like a pretty good list and things I can for sure accomplish! I didn’t want to make it too goal heavy because sometimes it gets unrealistic, but I know that I could do a bunch of these. And even if I only do 50% of this list, it’s still something!

Hello February! 💘

Hi everyone!

A little late on the February post, but it’s a new month! In the past, my husband and I never really took Valentine’s Day seriously because we were in high school and college. Now that we’re married, we’re going to celebrate it as best as we can! But aside from Valentine’s Day, new month = new goals. Of course I have my other goals in general, but I like to do specific goals for the month. For example, I want to create a consistent routine for the gym. Our gym is finally completed so I can start working out whenever. Sounds easy, right? Nope! It’s very hard to get yourself in that routine of working out when you haven’t worked out in probably over 6 months. So I need to make a plan, a schedule to keep me motivated and going to the gym.

At this point, I am just trying to be healthy. I’m not getting any younger and neither is my body so I need to take care of it. I wish I had this mentality when I was in college, but who did?! One step at a time, though. It isn’t hard and I can do this! On the plus side, I bought something that I think it’s going to motivate me for the gym – some really good pre-workout that apparently tastes like Mountain Dew and it’s going to be delivered today! Maybe I’ll do a review of it?! Okay, enough of that!

Mirhad and I made a very serious decision last week that we won’t be telling anyone about until it’s time to do it, but it will be in 2020. Big changes coming!!!! We have decided to do this for ourselves because this is what we’ve wanted to do for so long and we are super excited for it! And no, it’s not that we have not decided to have kids! I cannot wait until I can officially make a post about it, it will change everything ☺️

In the meantime, we have lots of work to do until 2020. I am hoping to really take my blog to the next level this year, but I’m not sure where to start. Does anyone have any helpful tips? I would greatly appreciate them!

And one of the last goals I will mention is that I want to spend less time on my phone. I feel like in the last 6 months I’ve noticed (and so has my husband) that I have a slight addiction to my phone. The problem is that I really do spend way too much time browsing social media. It’s okay if it has something to do with my blog, but most of the time it doesn’t. So that’s one of my other goals, to spend less time on my phone and more time talking to my husband, family, and friends.

Creating a blogging schedule for 2019! ✨

Hi all!

Hope you all had a great New Years! Last year, my blogging schedule was all over the place and now that I think about it, I wouldn’t even call it a blogging schedule. It was pretty much whenever I had time/felt like blogging. In 2019, I am creating an actual blogging schedule where I will have set times on when I will be writing/publishing new posts.

My original plan was to find a desk calendar at Marshall’s or TJ Maxx, but I had no luck. Then I thought about ordering one from Amazon, but there were some basic ones for $12 and I didn’t think it was worth it at that price. I mean, at that point I might as well buy a planner. So what I did instead was go on Microsoft Word and found a calendar template. I even found one that had every single month for 2019. I printed it out today and started filling in my schedule, this one will be strictly for blogging.

I took some time to think about what days to choose and I ended up deciding to create posts 3x a week. So for example I chose Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays because those are the days where I usually don’t have heavy meetings at work and that way I’ll still have time and energy when I come home to write. Fridays I always work from home so that one will be the easiest because I can just wake up earlier and start writing. I also wanted to pick one day every weekend to write as well. I think for that I might just switch days every weekend, like one weekend I’ll do Saturday and the next it’ll be Sunday. And then in the future if I have a vacation coming up, I’ll either just skip those days and make up for them or I will just leave it as is and continue the following week when I’m back. For example, we’re going to Tennessee at the end of this month and I plan to spend some quality time with my husband and family so I don’t want to be occupied with my phone or computer. For those days where I had to blog, I will probably just skip them and start fresh the following week.

For me, it’s important to create this blogging schedule because I feel like in the last 6 months I really haven’t been following my routine and including blogging as much as I’ve wanted to. We’ll see if this method works and if not, I will move on to another method. I want to step up my blogging so I can accomplish my goal of one day becoming a full time blogger. Hope this is a step in the right direction!

Hello December! ❄️❄️

Hello all!

Happy Monday! Have been wanting to write a December post since the first day of December, but the weekend slipped away from me and now we’re here. I already know this month will fly by, just like November did, but it is one of my favorite months. Everyone is in the holiday cheer, yes it’s COLD, but there are perks to that such as blankets, hot chocolate, etc. So December will be a great month, I have lots going on! My bff’s birthday is coming up, my husband is graduating, my other two best friends are graduating and having parties, I’m going to a baby shower, Christmas, and New Years! So yes, lots of events coming up!!! I feel like I haven’t had this much going on since the beginning of 2018 when I had my bridal shower, went on a couple trips, got married, graduated, and started my new job. I’ll have to write a separate post where I reflect back on 2018 and the great memories that were made, that sounds like it’d be fun. Oh and one more exciting thing to note! My sister-in-laws, sister-in-law had a baby!!! A little baby boy this morning! He is so precious and tomorrow after work we’re going to go meet him! I’m super excited!

So pretty much this whole month will be slow at work, so it won’t be that stressful yay! A lot of people will be taking vacations so the office will be pretty empty which gives me a chance to work from home more AND blog more! Still trying to get up at 5am everyday to make a routine for myself, but it was obviously hard to do when I had the flu so I will keep trying. The goal is to wake up with enough time to blog, eat breakfast, workout, and drink coffee or tea before heading out for work. That way I get a good start to my morning and accomplish a couple things while I’m at it. 

I am currently on keto and didn’t give up last week even when I was sick, but I REALLY REALLY REALLY want some cookies. I hope I don’t give in, I know I’m stronger than this! But it’s so hard 😦 I guess what is motivating is that December will fly by and I’ll have one more month of keto to do. Trying to do only 2 months (until February) and trying to lose as much weight as I can so I can be at a healthy weight for my height. And after that I’ll switch to a normal, balanced diet with a little bit of every food group. 

I already put up my tree, I moved it to an even better place in my house, I’ll have to upload some pictures soon. So far, there are 3 presents underneath it! One of my goals for 2019 is to start taking more pictures, whether that be of nature, the city, or people. Also want to start recording more of my life to have for memories. So taking pictures of my tree will be a great start!

Hiiiii!

Happy Monday, everyone! Didn’t go to class this morning, so I got to sleep in. I swear this weather is making me so sleepy and my allergies are acting up so bad. After I woke up, I went to Mirhad’s house to figure some stuff out with his sister regarding the bridal shower and we have everything figured out, yay! Came back home and it started raining (hence why I am so sleepy) and cleaned the house. Me and Emma tag teamed it and finished real quick. Now, I’m sitting here in my living room watching an episode of This is Us and drinking coffee. I’m about to make pasta with chicken and veggies.

I need to find a dress for my shower, so I am looking at lulus.com to see if they have anything good with a nice price. I’m about to post some links of the ones I really like.

So these are the ones I really liked. I need to go in store too because for longer dresses I need to make sure it won’t be dragging on the floor behind me as I walk especially since it’s a white dress and it’ll get dirty quick. So I just finished making my pasta and it was delicious! Now I am watching Love because Mirhad really likes that show so I’ve decided to watch it, too. I am going to go back and forth with my two shows today and see how many episodes I can watch. Since I didn’t go to class this morning, I can’t really catch up on anything. So until then, I will do nothing and chill lol. 

I really want to buy a jean jacket so I am trying to figure out the best place to buy it from since I know some are bad quality, but expensive. I’m going to shop around online and see what I can find. 

Tomorrow is the first day of Spring!! Hope it brings nice weather 🙂 🙂 🙂 💐

Hellooooo!

I’m back, had a busy weekend, but I am back and ready more than ever to blog!!! Happy Monday, I hope everyone had a great weekend and is looking forward to this new week that is ahead of us!

I’ve started using Spark to make some cool stuff and my featured image is something I created with the help of a cool background on Spark. It looks so pretty!

So this week I have the usual homework from all of my classes, but I think I am going to get a head start on some of my projects that are due in 2ish weeks.. since Spring Break is right around the corner, that means final projects and finals are coming for my online classes! I’m happy it’s almost over, I can’t wait to enjoy the other half of my semester just focusing on two classes, YAY!

I went to class this morning and then I drove Mirhad to school and went to pick up my sister so we could go to Forever 21. They are having a 50% off clearance sale and we grabbed some cute stuff. Think I will make a post later showing what I bought! Wasn’t much, but I know they will have another sale soon like this with all of their winter stuff so I’ll be waiting for that, too.

After I pick up Mirhad from school in a little bit, I am going to work out.. for the first time in like 2 months lol. I hate that I start working out and then I stop for a long time, I need to stop doing that. This time it’s serious, working out EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. I’m excited to start though, I need something to wake me up and something to get me tired. Also need to focus on becoming more healthy physically because it’s super important at my age! After that, I am going to maybe work on some homework or I might not do any and save it for tomorrow and instead work on my video for best moments of 2017. I’ll see what I feel like doing!

It’s been raining all day and it sucks, it’s very gloomy. Think it’s going to rain pretty much all week, but at least it’s not super cold.

But yeah, that’s pretty much it forreal… seeee yaaaaaa!
