Happy Friday guys!
I woke up this morning feeling very refreshed and looked outside my window only to find more ice on the ground. I had great sleep and then I realized it’s March and got super excited! The weather forecast is showing that it will get much warmer after the 8th of March. So glad the winter is finally going away and I can enjoy some fresh air. Speaking of a new month, that means we have some goals to write out!
Goals for March:
- Learn a new sport (already have one on mind, will make a video about it)
- Lose 10-15 pounds
- Start vlogging – post first video on Youtube
- Be consistent with my blog posts
- Make a laundry routine so we don’t fall behind on laundry
- Share my blog, be more open about it
- Workout 5x a week
- Sleep 8 hours every night and wake up at 5 am every morning
- Go to bed earlier
- Clear up my acne scarring/skin
- Spend time outdoors as much as I can as soon as it gets warmer outside
- Read at least 1 book
- Get back into writing my to-do lists
- Save money from every paycheck for our future vacations
- Buy our Disneyland and Universal Studios tickets before the end of the month
- Work on myself, mentally and physically
- Only buy new clothes if I lose weight
- Have at least 3 date nights with my husband
- Spend less time on my phone and more time with my husband
That sounds like a pretty good list and things I can for sure accomplish! I didn’t want to make it too goal heavy because sometimes it gets unrealistic, but I know that I could do a bunch of these. And even if I only do 50% of this list, it’s still something!

Last post I talked about my Thanksgiving and that Friday I took work off. Well, Saturday was a very pretty day with a high of 62 degrees so later that night we went to a bonfire with some friends and it was nice. It wasn’t too cold, but it got chilly by 10pm. By the time we left, I was FREEZING. I just thought that it was just because I was by the fire and half of me was warm and half of me was cold. But as soon as I got into the car, my spine started hurting. It was the weirdest thing! After 15-20 mins, I started getting aches everywhere. When I got home, I was shaking uncontrollably and I felt like it was zero degrees in my house. I had Mirhad wrap me up in 4 blankets and give me Nyquil. That night I ended up having a fever which turned into the flu. I’ve been trying to get rid of it since then and haven’t gone into work with fear of getting everyone around me sick. I would hate that. So I’m not going in until my symptoms are gone.
Besides that darn flu, I haven’t been productive at all and it sucks!!! I’ve been trying to clean up little by little which is working, but I can see how weak I am and it’s weird because I haven’t had the flu since like 5 years ago. That time I didn’t get out of bed for 2 weeks and I feel like that would be the case with this if I didn’t have to work!
I’m coming up with my 2019 goals list slowly, there are some good stuff on there so far! I have lots of plans for 2019 and I am super excited! I think it’ll be a great year 🙂 Anyone else start coming up with their 2019 goals??
Today we will try to leave the house and go grocery shopping for some items and see if we can pick up something as a gift for my moms bday that’s in 2 days! We also have our nieces bday coming up next week so we need to find her a gift soon too.
But yeah, that’s my quick update.. until next time when I have a quality post and when I’m not sick 🙂
Hello hello hello!!!!!!
Happy Thursday! I’m ECSTATIC this morning because we got our first snow!! 🙂 I can’t remember the last time we had good snow where we could actually go and sled and when things like school were actually cancelled. It’s so beautiful outside and I am just enjoying this as much as I can. Times like this make me realize how lucky I am to be alive and well and that I get to enjoy these moments. It really is all about the little things in life!
Today I’m obviously working from home, no way was I going to drive up to work at 7am this morning with the roads the way they are! The best thing about this is that I got to wake up refreshed and I got to drink my coffee without rushing! I have the BEST views right now and it keeps getting better because it’s still snowing so much.
Todays snow confirmed me wanting to live in Colorado 100%. This is why I’m so excited for the future!!!! Also, I’m supposed to go there again early next year, so I think I will run into some snow 🙂 🙂 🙂
I have a couple things I want to do today besides work! I really want to go sledding when I’m done with work today and I want to find our next Airbnb for our vacation coming up. I do need to get a sled first though 🙂
Anyways, this was a quick little post because I just had to share that we got snow! Here are some pictures.

For the longest time, I’ve been looking for tips and tricks on staying motivated and accomplishing my goals. I’ve only recently come to realize that motivation is great, but is that really something that helps you? Sometimes I think motivation is fickle. Fickle is the perfect word for this because we don’t know how we are going to feel when doing something. Motivation comes and goes, it’s not permanent. But having discipline can be. That’s why that should be the ultimate goal. Don’t look for reasons to motivate yourself because they may not work, just go and do it! Do what you want to do and get it done!
I don’t really have any tips on developing discipline besides the basic things like; work hard, stay on track, remove any temptations, eat normally and healthy, change your routine if it isn’t working for you, know your weaknesses, set goals and have a plan to achieve those goals, create new habits that will help you achieve what you want, and reward yourself when you accomplish your goals and get to what you want.
So discipline, discipline, discipline! You can do it!!
I didn’t get much sleep last night and it really took a toll on my day/mood. So I drank some coffee and it helped a little bit, but I think I need some food in my system to give me real energy! I’m currently eating an apple and working on some user stories for work. Tonight I think we’ll both go to bed earlier because Mirhad got even less sleep than I did because he was studying all night -_-
On the other hand, 8 more days!!!!! I am starting to wrap stuff up for work so everything is good to go for next week. And I am slowly starting to put a list together for what I need to bring – this will take a while. I have the essentials of course, but since we’ve never done a trip like this, I don’t want to forget anything. I need to buy other things like a small bottle of dry shampoo because I know I can’t take that big one lol.
What else? Yesterday we deep cleaned the whole house except for one room (the storage room) so we’re tackling that this weekend. Hoping to put everything where it belongs and have it ready to be a guest bedroom. There is SO MUCH random stuff in there, maybe we can throw a bunch of it away. A lot of it is Mirhad’s clothes, maybe his winter clothes? Not sure, but we’ll do something with it. That room will be the hardest to deal with, but it needs to get done. Otherwise, everything else is so sparkly clean 😀 we even moved our bed around in our room and it changed everything. I went an got the night stands we’ve wanted and they’re so useful already.
Haven’t been able to blog all weekend. I started a post on Friday, but the weekend flew by and by the time I knew it – I didn’t even write one post 😦 New goal is to post once everyday, that way I can write my thoughts down too.
But yeah, that’s pretty much it. Going to go work on some stuff and then plan 🙂
So glad it’s Friday, it’s been a busy week and I am happy to relax a bit this weekend and get some stuff done that I should’ve gotten done a while ago lol. Hate the feeling of having something to do on your list and you just never get around to it… so annoying!!!
Mirhad and I made this chicken veggie thing in the crockpot and it didn’t turn out as good as it should’ve 😦 last time we made something with the crockpot, we had a bunch of chicken + potatoes… I think that’s what made it taste so good lol. So I guess we’ll have to through it out and try something else next time.
Mirhad woke me up at 6am this morning to wake up for work so I can help him with this idea he had so I’ve been up since 6 and working since 6:30. So I guess the good thing about this is that I can stop working around 2:30 😀
Today I have some stuff I need to get done, but I am just going to do them throughout the day. #1 is organizing my bills and seeing what’s left to pay. Sometimes being an adult sucks lol, I miss those days where I didn’t have to worry about utility bills 😦 oh well, I think it’s worth it!
But yeah, I’m trying to think of what else?? I really want to make that blog post today about what I need to buy/bring on our trip, I hope I can sit down today and just get started on that. It’ll help me later on so I don’t have to panic last minute and look for things I need.
One question…. WHY ARE HOTELS IN VEGAS SO DAMN EXPENSIVE?!??!?!? Like come onnnnn, this is way too overpriced! Ugh, I need to think of an alternative or get lucky and find something cheap. So I am currently on a hunt to find the best place, it’s only for one night so how hard can this possibly be lol.
Okay that’s it, rant over! Did I really rant tho?? Idk maybe lol.

Happy Tuesday! Just got home from work and I actually had a really good day! Going to work from home a day or two this week. I have this huge project I have to finish by Thursday and present it to my team, so I have lots of work to do tomorrow and Thursday till noon.
It’s SUPER hot outside again today, like can it just be fall weather already?? Makes me not want to leave the house, but I really want to work out today. Ugh. I might just go take a run somewhere or go to the gym, we’ll see how I’m feeling lol.
I keep telling Mirhad we need to book the rest of our flights and we always forget, so I am making it a goal to do it by tomorrow night. The closer it gets the more excited I am!!! 🙂
I also need to go buy some outfits too, I really want some nice ripped jeans that won’t suffocate me hahaha. I’ll probably get them at American Eagle, I always find good jeans there and yeah they’re expensive, but they last for so long and are always SO comfortable! Plus, I can never find a good pair of jeans anywhere else that won’t fade or shrink after a couple washes.
