How I spend my “me time” + ideas ✨

Hi all!

“Me time” is super important to me because I think it’s an essential to happiness. Taking time to be alone, give yourself some love, and take that time to rest and rejuvenate. So here’s how I spend that time. 

I usually like to take a Saturday and spend a couple hours for this. The first thing I like to do is either take a bath or a nice shower so my face is fresh for the face mask I am about to apply. After I apply my face mask, I’ll sit down in my quiet space (which I made sure is clean and organized) and pick something to do. Of course, I can’t relax without a candle being lit! 

So by then I have already picked something I want to do, I usually pick something like this:

  • Blog
  • Watch a movie I’ve been meaning to watch
  • Catch up on shows
  • Catch up on my Youtube videos I subscribe to 
  • Drink coffee with my husband (this relaxes me, so if I am feeling like I don’t need to be alone at the moment, he will join)
  • Read a book
  • Read the news
  • Read some interesting Buzzfeed articles
  • Write a to do list and things I need/want

Yes, there’s SO MUCH you can choose to do! Maybe even just lay there and think about your day or meditate, craft, treat yourself at the salon, or go outside and explore some nature. There’s so much to do. I haven’t been able to meditate for some reason, I tried doing it with my husband, but I end up laughing at him lol. I can’t keep it together hahaha. 

I think everyone should have some “me time.” I believe it helps us in these ways:

  • Helps us relax
  • Gives us some time to think deeply 
  • Makes us more productive
  • Gives your brain a break + a reboot

So take some time for yourself and let your mind speak to you!

WE MADE IT TO COLORADO!!!! Currently, I am enjoying some coffee on a front porch with a view of the mountains!!! No matter how many times I see them, I can’t get over how beautiful they are. Seriously, this neighborhood we are staying in are GOALS!!!!! This is exactly how I picture my life when I move here.. waking up in the morning to go on a jog, walk, or bike ride on their neighborhood trail and then coming back to drink a shake or something hahaha. Man, as soon as I came here, my mood increased by 100000%. I know I have another week here, but I already don’t want to go home 😂 but seriously when I get back home, I’m going to work so hard to move here in a couple of years.

As you can see, those in the back of the car couldn’t hang hahahaah. But yeah, this is how it looks, it’s in the burbs, but I love it!

Going to go to the Rockies today when we can get the boys up so we’ll spend our whole day out there, cannot wait!! Going to try to hike this one trail it’s 2 miles long and the view should be amazing and then we’ll drive to the very top since we only made it halfway last time before chickening out hahaha.

Happy Sunday Funday!!!!

Had a great night of sleep and woke up in a good mood. This morning I ate the usual – a thin everything bagel with an egg and mayo and then of course an orange afterwards. Now I am drinking coffee ❤ after I am done drinking my coffee, I am going to continue working on my homework and start studying for my test that’s in a couple of days. I need to get this finance math down so I can kill this test.

Yesterday we finished almost everything in the house, Mirhad’s parents will just go finish the rest of the basement today. My dad will look at the basement when he’s back to see if anything else needs to be put over the wall like cement or something and then we focus on the kitchen!

Tomorrow my parents come back, yay!!!!! I’m excited, I can’t wait to see them 🙂 🙂 🙂
