Busy week – recap! ✨

Hello hello hello!

First of all, Happy Friday!!! We made it through the week!

It’s been a long time since I have been able to sit down and blog. Honestly, I feel like it’s been a while since I’ve even been able to sit down and BREATHE! It’s been such a busy week, I had a two-day training at work Tuesday and Wednesday and yesterday I had a presentation I had to do which was sooooo stressful for me. So I’ve been at work past 5 everyday and it’s been so tiring. I finally get to work from home today and next week will be much more calm where I can go back to my regular hours.

To be honest, I feel so drained that I don’t even know what to do with my life right now. The only thing I’ve been consistently doing is working out and eating right which is a huge plus and is most likely the reason I was able to get through this week!

I want to talk about how working out has affected my mood! I feel much more energized and my sleep is a lot better. I have been taking melatonin at night this week to make sure I am able to fall asleep because I had to get up so early for work, but working out has also tired me out which is a good thing! Working out has also let me clear my mind of my stresses. It felt so good to exercise  after my training days this week because I was stuck in a room all day from 8-5pm and it was mentally draining. As soon as I got to the gym, it’s like everything was out of my head and I felt more relaxed and clear-minded. The weather is still crap here, but I still have the motivation to walk out to my garage and workout even if it’s super cold during the walk! So I have to say exercising and being consistent with it is one of the best choices I’ve made this month!

Let’s get into the topic of public speaking. I absolutely HATE it!! It makes me so stressed out and I’m literally a mess until it’s over with. I’ve hated it ever since college and it’s never gotten easier for me. In yesterday’s presentation, I didn’t even have to stand up, but I was shaking so bad and probably stuttering. I just hate being the center of attention and I hope I don’t have to do another presentation for a really, really long time. Does anyone have any good tips on getting past this? It seems like whatever I do, I’m still as nervous as always.

I’m getting back into blogging after this busy week, so today I’m sitting down and writing a list of the future topics I’ll be talking about. I would love to hear what everyone’s favorite thing I blog about is! I know I’m all over the place, it’s hard for me to choose just one group of topics. I love talking about everything! Let me know in the comments 🙂

This weekend I am taking a lot of time to RELAX after this long, stressful week! I think I’ll do a bath bomb and a face mask with my husband. That always helps me relax and clear my mind. Tonight, my bff’s and I are having a girls night which is going to be lots of fun! We haven’t had one in a while, well I guess our Galentine’s counts, but we went out for pizza. It’ll be fun and a much needed girl time! Saturday, my husband and I will probably go to this game night at his friends house and Sunday will be stay at home and do nothing day (as usual) because Sundayz are for chilling and doing absolutely NOTHING 🙂

How I spend my “me time” + ideas ✨

Hi all!

“Me time” is super important to me because I think it’s an essential to happiness. Taking time to be alone, give yourself some love, and take that time to rest and rejuvenate. So here’s how I spend that time. 

I usually like to take a Saturday and spend a couple hours for this. The first thing I like to do is either take a bath or a nice shower so my face is fresh for the face mask I am about to apply. After I apply my face mask, I’ll sit down in my quiet space (which I made sure is clean and organized) and pick something to do. Of course, I can’t relax without a candle being lit! 

So by then I have already picked something I want to do, I usually pick something like this:

  • Blog
  • Watch a movie I’ve been meaning to watch
  • Catch up on shows
  • Catch up on my Youtube videos I subscribe to 
  • Drink coffee with my husband (this relaxes me, so if I am feeling like I don’t need to be alone at the moment, he will join)
  • Read a book
  • Read the news
  • Read some interesting Buzzfeed articles
  • Write a to do list and things I need/want

Yes, there’s SO MUCH you can choose to do! Maybe even just lay there and think about your day or meditate, craft, treat yourself at the salon, or go outside and explore some nature. There’s so much to do. I haven’t been able to meditate for some reason, I tried doing it with my husband, but I end up laughing at him lol. I can’t keep it together hahaha. 

I think everyone should have some “me time.” I believe it helps us in these ways:

  • Helps us relax
  • Gives us some time to think deeply 
  • Makes us more productive
  • Gives your brain a break + a reboot

So take some time for yourself and let your mind speak to you!

Good morning and hellooooo!

Went to class this morning for the first time this whole semester – you aren’t required to come on Fridays unless you want help with your homework and I needed help. Turns out coming on Fridays is so helpful so I think from now on I will go every Friday. 

Came to Mirhad’s house to work on my stuff and catch up on everything I didn’t do yesterday (yes I forgot to blog lol). But I do want to make another post that I have been wanting to make so it is my goal for today. 

Yesterday I don’t even remember what I did after I got out of class, I’m having bad memory lately and it sucks. Also, my retainers hurt sooooo bad. I hate wearing them, I really don’t know what’s worse – retainers or braces. I feel like retainers are annoying because I have to take them out every time I eat and then I want to be lazy and not put them back in but I can’t do that or else my teeth might move 😦 

Tonight I might go to the gym if I am up for it, maybe run a little bit on the treadmill and just sweat. I feel like I just need a good run to relieve all of this stress. 

I’m shopping around on Fashion Nova to see if I can find anything that would look good on me, this is so hard like I don’t want to buy new clothes until I lose a little bit of weight, but I really want new clothes lol. I still want a jean jacket before Chicago next weekend so I need to get on that!

Good morning!

Just got back from dropping off Mirhad at school and I ate some breakfast and am now drinking coffee and eat a fruit bowl 😋 I have class in about an hour so I am enjoying some time relaxing and blogging before it’s time to go. Honestly, writing on here just relaxes me so much and it doesn’t matter what time of the day it is, I will enjoy doing this and I will feel better.

Today, I really need to catch up on work from financial management and tomorrow I have to go to class to get this homework explained a little bit better! I still need to clean out my drawers filled with rubber bands and braces stuff I don’t need anymore. Now I can use that space for something else 💁🏽

My to-do list for today:

  • Write another blog post
  • Advisor nominee
  • RSVP for graduation
  • Call to schedule oil change
  • Ch.9 & 10 quizzes
  • Ch. 9 notes catch up

I think that’s it, I might have missed some stuff, but I will figure it out later.
