Spring bucket list! πŸŒΈ

Hi all!

It’s officially the first day of spring!!! Just like for any season, you have to have a bucket list for this season too. Writing this list has made me so excited for spring, so here we go!Β

  • Fly a kite
  • Take pictures of the pretty trees + flowers blooming
  • Have a nice picnic around the pretty colors
  • Go on a random road trip or two
  • Visit the farmers market
  • Rollerblade lots and lots in the park
  • Make a bird feeder (we have bird food, just never got around to making them a house)
  • Take our niece and nephew to the parkΒ
  • Plan out April and May in my planner
  • Spend time outside as much as I can, soak up the warm sun
  • Go to the Botanical Gardens
  • Buy fresh flowers
  • Make our front/back yard look nice
  • Look for bunnies
  • Have a BBQ at the park
  • Take lots of photos of my husband and I outside
  • Plan our California trip
  • Plan our 2-3 summer trips
  • Prank my husband for April Fool’s Day
  • Keep the windows open at home as much as we can, let the fresh air flow in
  • Set up our patio table and chairs
  • Read on my Kindle outside
  • Feed ducks
  • Visit 2-3 zoo’s outside of our city
  • Get an Banana split ice cream and eat it with my husband at the park

So far this is my list, I think if I remember anything else I’ll just add it. It’s not a super long list so I think I can accomplish it. You can tell I just want to spend a lot of time outside!Β

Have you guys created your spring bucket list yet?? Anything you think I should add to mine? Let me know in the comments!! πŸ™‚

February Reflections 🌹

Good morning guys! πŸ™‚

February has gone by so fast and I can’t believe that tomorrow is March 1st! I thought I’d take some time to reflect back on February and see if I accomplished anything I wanted to accomplish.

February felt like it went by quickly, but in the moment it was passing by so slow! I spent the beginning of the month attempting to get back into a diet of some sort and a workout routine. Well, I can say that I’ve got both of them down. Which is surprising because I feel like I’ve been trying to do that for the past three months. I think my whole mindset changed.. summer is only what, three months away? I need to get in shape and actually follow a healthy diet plan. My husband and I decided to get back on Keto so we could get that boost of weight loss and then after we have gotten to our goal weight, we will switch back to a normal diet. Keto for me is fine for a short-term weight loss option, but I don’t really like doing it for a long period of time. Plus, spring/summer is going to be here soon and I love fruit way too much to miss out on that! We have a nice market close to us here with the freshest of fruits and we always miss out because we’re on a diet. And since we have a trip coming up at the end of May and possibly end of April, I want to look and feel my best! So hopefully by our next trip I will be exactly where I want to be. I just wished I started earlier, but at least I started now!

I didn’t get to blog as much as I did this month, so that will be one of the things I will be focusing on next month. March is slightly busy for a couple days at work because we have some events going on, but aside from that it won’t be too bad. That will give me a lot of time to focus on myself and not be so stressed out.Β

Also hoping that March will be much warmer than February. I am SO tired of the cold and have never been more excited for Spring to arrive! This winter feels like the longest one we’ve had in forever and from what I remember, didn’t the ground hog say we’re going to have an early Spring?!?! Warmer weather makes me so much more productive and I’m so ready for those picnics in the park with my husband πŸ™‚

Aside from all of that, I think it was a pretty good month. There were some long weeks, but I had fun. January and February always seem like they pass by the quickest and I always forget about what happened in those two months! It’s like it’s a blur after New Years until summer!Β Hoping for March to be filled with lots of happiness, fun, smiles, and time outside!Β

How do you guys feel like February was?! Did it pass by as quickly as it felt like for me? Do you have any cool plans for March? Let me know in the comments!! πŸ™‚

Side note: Our trip is inΒ 85 days!!!!! It seems so far away, but it’ll be here in no time! I need to make a countdown on here πŸ™‚

Changing up my hair! πŸ’‡πŸ½β€β™€οΈ

Good morning guys!

A couple months ago, I had some blonde streaks in my hair and of course me being indecisive, I decided to dye it dark brown all over. Usually when I box dye my hair at home, it turns out completely fine. But this time, I ran out of box dye because I didn’t realize my hair was so long and it turned out pretty patchy and instead of turning a nice dark brown color, it turned black. Since then, I’ve been trying to fade it out and get rid of the color as much as I can because usually in Spring/Summer I tend to go for the balayage look. I’m also really tired of this hair color and I don’t think I’ll ever dye it dark brown again! I think from now on if I ever want to go darker, I’ll just add in low lights because I’ve learned my lesson.

Yesterday I went and had a consultation for my hair. I have been going to the same lady since I was like 15, but I thought it was time to try a different place! I went to go meet this new lady and as soon as she started talking about my hair, I knew she knew what she was talking about. She asked me what I wanted to do with my hair and I told her how I recently box dyed it and pretty much explained the whole situation. I showed her this pictureΒ and said this was what I eventually wanted my hair to look like. She was honest with me and said it would take a couple sessions, but the first time we would aim for a caramel balayage. I liked that she was honest and didn’t want to damage my hair. She said she could easily spend the whole day and transform my hair into this, but the damage would be unbearable and I am trying to avoid as much damage as possible to my hair because I’m growing it out.

So she said this would be the goal the first session since my hair is dark, we’ll see how it ends up. By the time we go to California, it will hopefully look like that first picture! Every time I’ve done balayage in the past, I liked it but then it faded or got brassy and I started to hate it. Which is why I usually went back to darker hair quickly.

Anyways, I was able to get an appointment for the first session this Monday after work so I’m super excited to change up my hair and pretend I’m a new me πŸ˜€

Have you changed your hair recently? What did you do to it?? πŸ™‚

Vacation planning for May 2019 βœˆοΈ

Hi all!!!

This is a very exciting post for me because I’m going to write out our long 9-day trip that’s happening in May, day by day! We are calling it our honeymoon part 1 because there will be a part 2 eventually. We’ve been talking about going back to Santa Barbara for a while now and originally we were only going to go for four nights because everything was so expensive, but we found a way around it! We actually ended up making it a 9 day vacation and it wasn’t as expensive as it should’ve been. So here’s how we are planning it out.

Saturday May 25th to Sunday May 26th: Our flight leaves for LA at 5am and we will be there by 10am. We chose the LAX airport because it was much cheaper flying into LA than SB. That’s when we decided to go two days earlier than we planned and just stay in LA that weekend. We planned to go to the two parks in Disneyland and Universal Studios from the start, but just by making it a day trip from SB, but this is much easier and that way we have two full days to do whatever we want in LA. We also were able to find a cheap Airbnb right by Disneyland. But we are going to Disneyland and Universal Studios!!! I am SO pumped! It’s my first time so I’m acting like a kid, but I am too excited!Β

Monday May 27th to Sunday June 2nd: We rented a car so we will drive that morning from LA to SB, take a nice long cruise by the coastline, and enjoy some road trip time together. Cannot wait to see the views by the ocean and the mountains, it will be beautiful! We decided to spend the next 6 days in Santa Barbara because we found a really cheap Airbnb so we were able to stay longer than we thought. This will give us time to really soak up SB and enjoy what their city has to offer. We haven’t planned out every single thing we are doing yet, but I will update when we do! On that Sunday, we will drive back to LA and spend some time there before our flight in the evening. This is going to be the longest we’ve ever stayed in California, it’s going to be great!

That’s what we have planned so far, we literally just booked all the Airbnb’s, bought the flight tickets, and rented the car just yesterday! In a month, we’re going to purchase the Disneyland and Universal Studios tickets since those can really be purchased at any time.Β

Side note: I surprised Mirhad with this camera he has wanted so he could start filming (his dream is to be a director one day) and I went and bought it last night for him. He totally didn’t see it coming and had the best reaction! I told him this will be great for him taking pictures and videos of me on vacationΒ πŸ˜‚Β Anyways, I’m happy he can finally use his own camera instead of mine and I know he is too! Hopefully he can learn how to use the camera like an expert by May so we can get some cool footage. Maybe by then my Youtube channel will be started?! πŸ™‚

But yeah, that’s our trip planning. Has anyone else been to Disneyland or Universal Studios? Anything we HAVE to see?? Any recommendations for food in LA and Santa Barbara? I will do some research, but I’d love to hear from personal experience. πŸ™‚

My 2019 Vision Board!

Hi all!

I finally got around to finishing my vision board and it’s not the very best, but it’s perfect for me! This time I just put a bunch of pictures/quotes that will motivate me for this year. Last year, I had a lot of pictures of my husband/family and random things, but this way is better.Β

vision board 2019 v2 jpeg.jpg

Here’s my vision board – I won’t go through each one, but I’ll explain some of them.

Let’s start from the top. A lot of those are about calmness and mindfulness which is something I’d love work on a lot this year. The picture of the woman is about me wanting nicer skin and getting better with my makeup skills. And of course I added something about my husband because he is #1 πŸ™‚ As you can see there are a couple things on here about him!Β

In the second row, I have a picture of the Kindle which explains me wanting to read more this year. I can happily say that I have read SO much since I have gotten it! Family of course is important so I had to add something about that in here! We are planning to go to NYC this summer, so I added a picture of Central Park in there. And the last one I will mention in this row is the quote, “No one is born a great cook, one learns by doing.” I often get discouraged when I attempt to make some food that I’ve never made before or sometimes even food I’ve made multiple times and it doesn’t turn out the way I thought it would. This is a great quote because it’s true, I will get better with time!Β

The third row is just all quotes, so I’ll pick 2-3 that stand out right now. I really want to get rid of any clutter and just make our living space very simple. The picture with Pooh says, “sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.” This is referring to my niece and nephew πŸ™‚ And the last one I will mention in this row is the very first quote, life really is precious.

In the fourth row, I have the state of California map because it is one of the best states in my opinion and this map shows a lot of cool places to visit in CA! The woman in the bikini is my fitness goal and it’s very realistic for my body type since I don’t want abs or anything muscular. I feel like I could achieve this in 2019. I used to find really fit people with abs and make them my motivation, but it was too unrealistic and would take YEARS to happen. The picture of the palm trees and beach is a very special place in my heart πŸ™‚ ❀ And the last one is about working out, eating well, and being patient. I’m not patient enough and this is a good reminder to be!

And for the last two sections, I’ll just talk about 4-5 of them. I added a couple things about traveling because that’s what I’m most looking forward this year and there is a picture in Disney Land because we are planning to go there! The pictures are because I want to take lots and lots of pictures going forward, that is the best way to remember good memories. I NEED to drink more water daily, it’s a huge struggle for me, but I am going to make it a habit. The picture of the hair is because I want long, healthy hair. And the last one I will mention is the plant, I want more plants in my house because plants give off good energy and fresh air.

There you have it, my 2019 vision board! I tried to be as realistic as possible and I think I can for sure accomplish most, if not all of these goals on my board.

Did you make a vision board for 2019? What are your top three things on there? πŸ™‚

Quick update! 🌿

Good morning!!

Writing this quick little update! My flight is around 3 so I don’t have much time for anything, but I thought I’d sit down and write about what’s going on.Β

So we are leaving for our trip today, we’ll be in Seattle tonight woohoo! Last night I packed for 2 hours (late) and seriously next time I’m packing 5 days in advance because that was stressful lol. Hopefully I packed everything I needed, if not then oh well I’ll buy it over there. Last weekend was crazy busy, we did yard work everyday. I’ll post some picture when I’m back to show how I redid the front flower box in front of our house. It took a lot of work, but it looks much better now. I think I can find a before pic somewhere, too.Β

I probably won’t blog at all during the next 5-6 days since I don’t think I’ll even have time to sit. I feel like we probably won’t even sleep forreal because there’s so much to do in so little time! So there will deff be a couple blog posts probably about each place we visit so I’m excited for that πŸ™‚ right now I need to go take a quick body shower and get dressed because we leave to go to the airport in like 45 to an hour so I am running low on time.Β

Went to work this morning and then got back around 11 to work from home. Drinking a cup of coffee right now so I can get some energy because I can never sleep the day before a trip because of excitement. Just like first day of school back then in like middle school, was so excited the night before I couldn’t even sleep! Ah, I just got nostalgic lol. Reminding me of the days where we’d be waiting at the bus stop and it’s a little dewey outside early in the morning. Aw, miss those days!Β

Okay well really quick update, I’ll post photos maybe on my instagram.Β

See ya later! πŸ™‚
